What is a POS (Point of Sale) system?+

A POS system, or point-of-sale system, is a combination of hardware and software that lets a business accept payments, track sales, manage inventory, and report from a single platform. A modern Square POS includes a touchscreen device to ring up sales, payment processing through card readers or Tap to Pay, software for inventory and customer data, and optional accessories like barcode scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers.

How do I sign up for Square through PaySmart?+

Use one of the buttons on this page. The "Regular Pricing" button creates your Square account on standard published rates. The "Cash Discount Pricing" button enrolls you in PaySmart's compliant cash-discount program through Square so eligible card costs are passed to the customer who chooses to pay by card. What is the difference between Regular Pricing and Cash Discount Pricing?+
